Pricing and ownership, stated before you ask
What MonoGrain publishes a price for, what is quoted, what keeps costing money after launch, and who owns what at the end. Where something is decided per project, this page says so rather than guessing.

What costs nothing
A 15-minute quick chat, booked directly on this site, and a free discovery call: a conversation about what you need, with no pitch and no preparation required.
/Published prices
The sessions with a published price
The prices MonoGrain publishes are on the What we do page: a free discovery call; an AI Audit at an indicative $400–$600; a Discovery Session at $1,500, which comes off a later Strategy Workshop; and a Strategy Workshop at an indicative $4,000–$4,999, run as four sessions across a month.
The audit and workshop prices are indicative ranges; the Discovery Session is fixed. The Offers section on What we do is the authoritative list, and the price is confirmed with you before anything is booked.
/Quoted
How everything else is priced
Builds, projects and ongoing work are quoted after a conversation, because their cost depends on scope. Engagements can take the form of fixed project fees, retainers, subscriptions or usage-based charges, as the Terms list.
Anything beyond those sessions is scoped and quoted after a conversation, never from a price list. Under MonoGrain’s Terms, the proposal or statement of work sets the deliverables, timeline, fees, payment milestones, usage rights and any third-party expenses, and prices may exclude applicable taxes.
/After launch
Costs that keep arriving
- Software subscriptions the workflow depends on
- Usage-based AI model or API charges, which rise and fall with volume
- Hosting and storage
- Support, monitoring and changes you request later
Third-party providers set their own prices and can change them. Each proposal says which of these apply, which are one-off and which recur, and who pays the provider.
/Ownership
Who owns what
Under MonoGrain’s published Terms, you keep ownership of the materials and data you provide. MonoGrain keeps ownership of its own underlying software, tools and production technology, and receiving a deliverable does not by itself transfer those. What you receive and may use, and on what licence, is written into the proposal for each project.
- Your materials, data and brand assets: yours, before and after
- MonoGrain’s own tools, systems and production technology: MonoGrain’s
- What is built or made for you, and how you may use it: written into the proposal
/Handover
What to agree before work starts
- Whose accounts the workflow or asset will live in
- Who holds credentials, and how they are handed over
- What you can export, in what form
- What documentation and training are included
- What support looks like after handover, and what it costs
- How you would leave, or move the work to someone else
These are the questions to settle in writing with any provider, MonoGrain included. Where a term is not yet agreed for your project, it should be listed as open, not assumed.

Common questions
What currency are the published prices in?
The What we do page shows the prices without a currency. Confirm the currency and any tax with us before booking; the price is confirmed before anything is booked.
Do prices include tax?
Under the Terms, prices may exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Each quote says what applies.
Does the Discovery Session fee count towards anything?
Yes. If you have paid for a Discovery Session, the $1,500 comes off a later Strategy Workshop.
Do you offer a paid pilot?
There is no standard pilot package published. If you want to test value on one narrow workflow first, that can be scoped like any other piece of work, with the success measure agreed in advance.
